I capture connection between people in a raw and vulnerable form, while creating an experience that is fun and one of a kind, for couples with western, free-spirited + wild hearts, and wanderlust souls that love fiercely.

This is Me.

I am so humbled that you have found yourself on this page. This is my safe place, where I get to share my story. The story that has given me the purpose in capturing YOURS. And the fact that you have found yourself here to read my words and hear my heart through them, means the world to me! I am fueled by moments. The big moments and little moments that eventually all blur together and become the story of our lives. More so, I’m deeply devoted to capturing those moments, those connections and the people who we share them with.

I lost my Ahpa (dad in Korean) when I was only 22. Years before marriage, and in the few years since he’s passed, I’ve wanted nothing more than to share moments with him that I know I never will get to. So what do I do? I look at his photos and I travel to beautiful places, the two things he always appreciated in this world. This makes me feel close to him, and seeing the world through his eyes always amused me. Since he loved taking photos so much, that meant Ahpa was never IN any photos.  My family just thought nobody took portraits until their BIG moments, like a wedding – so we waited… but we waited too long, and time ran out. So, I have no photos to show you of our whole family on this day. And that breaks my heart. I share this story not to make you feel sad for me, but because I have devoted my time on this Earth to ensure that the same thing doesn’t happen to your family. If I can capture precious memories for people, then I feel like I am honoring his legacy. His love for photography came from his father, who was a photographer, and mine came from him, who gifted me my first camera. Now, it only seems natural to share stories of people IN LOVE with the people they love, while they’re here. My way of making sure you have those moments, too, to look at later in life, through my art.

For me, photography is about much more than giving you digital photos to sit in a drawer or on your computer forever… they are heirloom pieces to be printed, hung and enjoyed for generations to come!

Life is short. It’s messy, it’s beautiful, it’s scary. But life means nothing without loving other people. Whether you choose to have 25 people or just the two of you at your wedding or elopement, your love is perfect and, in this moment, it’s whole. We aren’t promised tomorrow, but I can promise you that if you choose an experience of intentionality over expectations, we will have a day (or more if we make it a trip!) that you will never forget, with beautiful photos as proof!
